automated window cutout when inserted on a wall?

Unread post by Robert » Mon Nov 25, 2019 11:55 pm

If I have a window subassembly and insert it into a room with walls, How would I create window subassembly to automatically pocket through the wall?

Hello

1. Create window in driver block and You can make positioning parametric.
2. Make a martyr part with thickness db.y and bigger than driver block is X+- and Z+- directions.
3. On the martyr part face make contour same big as driver block is.
4. Make a through pocket with thickness db.y.
5. Define pocket as a tool.

When You place it, to be sure that wall is a defined part too, otherwise tool don't make a pocket.
