Fulcrum tipping point pedestal dining table
I'm not a math, physics, or engineering minded type of person. I'm designing some crazy pedestal dining tables. I would like to know the tipping point of the the table and I know it has to do with the center of mass and the fulcrum point. Can TS analyze the table if I assign weight to the materials and tell me at what point it would tip?

well your gonna wanna look under Dynamics to do that is all I can tell you. and you will have to tell it how to apply the force on the model it cant just give you an answer without some inputs. but unfortunately I am not well versed in the Dynamics functions and how to use them.

Hi Todd,
i think that you can use the "barycenter point" to have the center of mass of your table.

I thinking you better use the barycenter. Than find the shortest arm from barycenter to the rotation line over wich it will tip the fastest. Now rotate the complete table around this line until the barycenter passes the line. That's it I think.

Thanks guys that helped, I never heard of the "barycenter point" before, learn something new everyday.
