[Solved] restricting "part" from mold views

Unread post by Top'Noob »

Hello,

When I make a .mld file then begin creating drafting documents like A-Side/B-Side, etc. then I create mold section views one common problem I have is that the "part" is shown in the section view.

Is there any way to suppress the "part" from the draft views ?

I have been using the Management, Set Assignment, Extract feature (in the *.mld file) which does work but then the "Visualization" does not work anymore.

Is there a better way ?

Hi,

Maybe you could use "Exceptions".
So create a filter which excludes the part file from teh view.

Thank You Pieter,

I have not had a chance to test this yet but it looks like exactly what I need. 8)

As it turns out "Exceptions" seems to work great on everything except the "part" in a mold file... :(

when my mold design 3D is completely finish I assign my part as not affect tin the proprieties, that way when I create my mold assembly the part won't appear bcs is not assign to the mold anymore.

Hi,

I do not see any problem to have the part assign to the mold :o
In fact, i think that this is a goo idea! We can change the hatch of the part to solid hatch, so the part in the sections is easely defined.

The only thing that i do, is manually remove the part from the bom

Cumprimentos,

Olaio
