[Solved] Working with a point cloud file

Unread post by GrainWise »

I've got a client that sent me a *.asc file. TopSolid does not want to open it. Is this a file format that TopSolid can work with?

Thanks!

Hi Grainwise,

Your customer probably sent you an ASCII file, change the file extension to XYZ, and try to open it as a ASCII file (inside TopSolid, check the file type pull-down menu),

See you,

Rémi

Thanks Remi!

It opened fine, just a zillion points to now work with!
