[Solved] union component

Unread post by odysseas »

Hello all!!!

I just downloaded an engine (motor) part...which is divided into small parts (not assemblies)and all parts together forming the engine... how could i join them in a PART to be able to implement a uniform texture..?
I tried the mandate of the Union on the toolbar, but are so places that are time consuming.
Thanks in advance

Ody

Hi,

did you tried to select first the main body (shape to modify) and then with the multi-selection tool (lasso) select all the others (tool to use) at the same time?

Hi, Olaio

There is no main boady the whole motor is composed of small parts. Ι will have to choose one by one and apply the texture.
thanks anyway!!

Hi,

Olaio is right (as always  ), the solution is:

Apply the texture to the main body.
Once done, go in Attribute | Materials, select the main body as the reference element.
Then go in the selection, and use the WORLD icon (select all elements), unselect the main body, then OK.

For a very easy and fast way to manage your elements : Selection tools :!:
