Cannot Find Drill Depth

Unread post by denmark219 »

I am getting this error when drilling into the face of a cylinder. What does "Cannot Find Drill Depth" mean?

Thanks,
Mark

Hi,

This means you are drilling "in the air" there is no material to drill.
So, either you are creating a hole in hole, or your drilling in the wrong direction (away from the face instead of towards).

best regards

Here is the file. I'm trying to drill 3 holes in the cylinder face. (If you haven't noticed this is an example from one of the training manuals).

If you can get it to work, can you take a screen capture vid of the solution?

Thanks again,

Mark

hmm, you were right about "drilling into air." I (you) seem to have fixed the problem. Thanks!
