Tool: create/manage TopSolid thumbnails easier

Unread post by Christopher »

Hello,

i dont like the features we have, to create pictures for our libraries of std-components.
To make things easier for myself and to learn vb.net, i created a little tool to create/manage those pictures.

I could need some feedback, if it works properly on other computers.
If you would like to test it, send me an message with your e-mail.
It supports the following at the moment:

languages - english and german

Set write-protection
Just sets or removes the write-protection so that TopSolid does not overwrite the picture.

Choose new picture
Open a file from your computer which is converted and then saved as a preview picture for the active document.

Choose template
You can save 9 template-pictures (1.png - 9.png) in "Missler\Config\tempalte\preview-picture\" and choose them. I use this for example to set the information "component not finished".

Previous version
If you saved you component as version "00" and then create "01" the picture from "00" is copied to "01".

Capture Screen
Show a window with a size of 300x300 which could be used to create a screenshot of your component. The window is always on top, so you can easy zoom and align the part in TopSolid.
