New kind of propagation

Unread post by TopSolid2007 »

Hi all TopSolid users.

I think it would be very nice a new way to propagate operations like holes and select other operation to avoid it.

Ex.

I will make a hole and propate it in a matrix mode for the entire part I am designing. but I already have done a slot.

Today I will need to propagate and after it to exclude some instances.

Is there a way to propagate avoiding a specific area or previous operations?

Thanks in advance

I am here daily.

It is still pretty quiet here because there are only 142 members so far...

Check out this movie. Is this what you want ?

Yes, it works fine. It is what I am just doing right now, but I would like to discover a way to select previously an area or operation to avoid the propagation whitout use this option to exclude instances.

It would help me because I am currently drawing several parametric parts and the propagated holes are in the same place that the porevious fixture hole I made on the plate.

When I use this function to exclude a instance it works fine, but when I change the paramters of quantities on the propagation I am forced to restore all instances and select other instances to be excluded...

Hi TopSolid2007!

Maybe you talk about this?

... exclude instance / by closed curves

look at this

or the *.top

but be sure to click on the point of the first hole (or feature)
Don´t worry - It´s me!
