Pocketing a small through hole

Unread post by Jason_Scott »

Is it possible to define a machining operation on a through hole that was created using "pocketing" so that the scrap can be eaten up and not bounce around the table when nesting parts?

Or is it possible to define a specific strategy for cutting out an appature that will be recoginzed as such when nesting the parts? Say I want to use a different process on one cutout but a different one on another.

Apertures are not separated in analysis they are all processes as one feature. Pocket can be treated different as they are separated in the analysis. If you make a custom process for pocket where it use drill by plunges you can have a custom process that drills then route out the perimeter.
