I know I can modify cutting conditions in two ways:
- Per tool: Mount Tools > Cutting conditions
- by Abacus: Equipments > Modify Cutting Conditions.
What I don't know is how TopSolid decides which to use, and how I can decide for which tools to use the ab5acus, and for which tools to use the cutting conditions.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Managing cutting conditions
I have only ever set them for each tool. It's the way I find most reliable as I can set the rpm and chipload of the tool and let TS take care of the feedrate calculations. I think through the equipment menu you add complexity that you don't really need. The menu option doesn't take into account number of cutting edges or chipload into its calculations.
