[Solved] Dovetail box joints

Unread post by scottatTS »

1. Is there a function in TS'Wood for doing dovetailed joints? We could not find one. Dovetails are of course a standard traditional joint and I'd rather not have to do it all from scratch.

2. If there is not already a function, how would we create it once and then be able to re-use it repeatedly on different size boxes and cases?

Hi !

There is no specific fonction for dovetails, unfortunatelly.

But you can create yourself a parametric component doing such things.
I don't have any example about that anymore, but it's possible.

Its Not so difficult, in fact once you understand how to model these you can also make an automatic machining, for these i have them to look as they might be hand cut. Tooling was designed in TopSolid and used to machine the drawers.
