Codification for Opticut

Unread post by Davy »

Hello,

I'm trying to get more information in my Opticut Cutlist in the column "Reference", because now there is only the designation of a part visible.

I understand that this have something to do with the codification you need to do manually when exporting to Opticut.
Now I've made a .BOM file with the following line:
NAME=Referentie
"DEF=<WOO_TREE_IDENTIFICATION|$DESIGNATION|OWNER_n$ $DESIGNATION$>"

This bom i've loaded under the options menu in "parts selection sorting" for opticoupe (V) export.

So this all works, the full information is displayed in the selection window when exporting but still there is no combined information in the reference column in Opticut?

Hopelfully some of you guys can help me out :)

Thanks

Hello

I am not 100% sure, but try to avoid spaces in reference column. At the moment all data are taken from last space.

Thank you for your response,

I've tried removing the space, so this is my full bom file:

I also tried the following line in the bom: "DEF=<WOO_TREE_IDENTIFICATION|$DESIGNATION|OWNER_n$>" (without the "$DESIGNATION$")
Still it seems that there is no "link" because nothing changes.

So now i've the question: How does TS know what is linked to the reference column with what is in the bom above?
Also, is the NAME in the bom file important? I thought it didn't matter what name you choose there, right?

When nothing changes, then linking to right bom seems wrong. Check it under Tools-Options.

I'm sure I have the right one.

Is my configuration of Opticut like it should be?

If I change reference=reference, all I get is an @ in the reference column in Opticut.
