Sawing Toolpaths in XML Export

This is somewhat related to a previous post of mine on Groove Toolpaths.

Parts that are sawn are producing a machining on the Right side instead of Left.

Are there any settings/configurations in TopSolid'Wood that can control this?

I think Your parts don't have Indexes and part indexing (identification) is the most imortant thing in CAM area. You may have plenty of parts with same size, but different machinings - without indexing they are in same row in BOM.
Go with with part identification and result is more better. (word s t a r t is not allowed by server, weird)

What exactly do you mean by "indexing"?

What command do you execute to do this? Could you post some screenshots?

Hi

I made short video for You: https://youtu.be/H5CuZlvP7d4

I am using 2 BOMs. 1 is for Indexing and another for regular BOM to get data. Look some posts back, there are more information about that.

Hello RM,

I've given this a go. It doesn't seem to have affected the sawing at all.

In any case, I reached out to TopSolid on this and I gather that it is a bug.

I'm out of ideas... can't seem to find workarounds that don't involve a huge amount of work.

Any other ideas?

Hello

Can You make a video of this situation? Or create and export file and I will look inside of this.

Hello RM,

Please see the attachments.

I have included the .top file so you can compare.

Rib for RM.txt
The upload wouldn't let me upload XML, so I changed to TXT - change it back to XML when you download

Hello

I looked that part. I dont have any experience with Ardis, what is the CNC machine, to where it go? And which software is in the CNC?
If I do this type of geometry for CNC machines, then I take rectangular part, create contour and then I will do milling by contour with right tool. In some cases I just use a trim, but I overwrite this cutting with User Machining where I can add one or several machining types (for several machines, depends in which machine I do cutting).

Hello RM,

Our machines are Holzhers. The software we use is HOPS.

It is interesting that you mention User Machining as that is something we never looked at in depth. It works!!

That single function will solve a lot of our current issues!

Thanks a lot! :D
