Modify single element from repetition

Good morning,
I commonly work with matrix repetitions of templates and I figured out that with lineal repetition you can define a driver in order to make an offset of an instance. The thing is that you can't do that with a martix repetition (you would need two drivers to define x and y offset), so I'm wondering if there is any option to be able to move one instance from a matrix repetition. I've tried the transform function but I need the tools process to move along the solid also.
Right now I work by excluding the instance and positioning it again as a single template where I want to be but maybe you guys know a faster way to do it.
