How to increase the size of the icons in the main menu.
I assume it's in top.cfg as a variable.
I have such a variable but it doesn't change anything visible
U_ICONS_SIZE 2

We don't even have this entry in top.cfg
I've added it and tested with a value of 10, but no visible effect
I've also searched in "tools / options" and "customize" but with the same result.

I don't understand what you mean with: the size of the icons in the main menu.
If you mean the startpage, use this one: U_STARTPAGE_RECENTDOCUMENTS_IMAGE_SIZE 256

In the start page, the resize works as in Windows, with Ctrl + scroll
