[Solved] Bom in TS'Mold

Unread post by olaio »

Hi to all,

I would like to know if there are TS'Mold users that are using the bom from TS'Mold to create the molds bom.
Right now we are "playing" with some fields to reach the final bom.

For example:
in the "DESIGNATION" field we are using the part number.
in the "STD REFERENCE" field we are using the component reference, or the part dimensions if the part is not standard (this information is copy/paste from the "STOCK DIMENSIONS" field.
in the "COMMENT" field we are using the part heat treatment and hardness.
in the "STANDARD" field we are using the component supplier or the part material if the part is not standard.
in the "PROCESSING" field we are using the part designation (we have a list of "processings" defined, so it is just select from the list).
in the "INDEX NAME" field we are using the part number (again).

With those "adaptations" we are abble to have a bom exactly as we want, but this give us a little more work (especially the copy/paste for the part dimensions and the duplication of the part number).

Does anyone use another way to create the bom?

Is it working well?

I am waiting for your comments,

Happy new year to all of you :D

I would say you probably are doing good.

There is always manual editing to the BOM, as far as my experience has gone. There are multiple ways to do this.

One very important warning though. TS does NOT update stock sizes automatically. So if you change a block, you HAVE TO go and update it's stock size manually.

I've had this happen to me twice. So be careful.

Have a great New Year.

Secondly, Larry, I have a good news for you : I spoke few time ago with the support team about the the stock dimension, and it will be associative on the next release, the v6.9!!

Really? That's great news. Thanks Jehronimo. I just know currently it can burn you, and I just wanted to make sure they were aware of it.
