Shift part

Unread post by Stockwell »

Going to be alot of questions I am sure here as Oldcastle, Ontario starts using Top Solid for Mold design.

Question
UCS for part, UCS for parting line surfaces. Slide nose created (but not assigned as an action).
Shift part & everything updated nice, but slide nose did not move with part. Any suggestions.

Thank you,
Don

It's location was probably based off of another UCS that did not move. Look at the history and drivers of the slide nose (the very begining of its build) and find how it's locating it self and what UCS it is based off of. You might just have to move 1 ucs or multiple entities.

Did you create it by just surfacing it up then stitching, or did you just create a solid and subtract the cavity, or did you use the side action command?

Hi,

if your slide has been inserted on a CSYS, the soft does not know to move this slide and its "linked" nose" :?

I reported this problem to Missler, they said they are working to fix it.
