I was going to ask a question and report a security issue here with PDM Backup to a network location, but I see nobody at Missler has answered a...

No, this is not my issue. Also, this advice to set a service account to Admin or domain Admin is a terrible idea in today's security environment....

Just started trying to use 7.12, got the perm codes sorted out, and now it's asking me for a password to connect to my local PDM server....

interesting....I'm a glad it solved the problem. All this tells me is that something more deep inside of the installation was corrupt....weird.
