Re: Sawing Toolpaths in XML Export
I think Your parts don't have Indexes and part indexing (identification) is the most imortant thing in CAM area. You may have plenty of parts with same size, but different machinings - without indexing they are in same row in BOM. Go with with part identification and result is more better. (word s t...

Re: laminate designation
Hi valer_y It's a bit out of topic, but this is the thing how it's possible to make workaround in TopSolid. For me this is another option what is possible to show in part definition window. I am using there lot of parameters, some samples: 1) extruded part length - Pipe L=[L]mm and in BOM - Pipe L=1...

Re: Edgebanding Over-evaluation/Over-dimension
Here are 2 nice videos how to create Your own edgebandings. In Your case, make some rough tests, where and how Your own make cuttings off.

Re: Edgebanding Over-evaluation/Over-dimension
You have to create Your own edgebanding templates with right codes (just to remember, what they are and what they do) and right machining areas. It's not possible to change integrated TopSolid edgebandings.

Re: Edgebanding Over-evaluation/Over-dimension
Hi Edgebanding system is weak. In Your case try to make fake edgebanding, which is visually 3mm thick, but it cuts 2.5mm. Section views are wrong, but part sizes are correct. Nesting calculate edgebanding thickness off (always) and in my case I made edgebanding thickness 0.01mm. I got everything in ...

Re: Loghouse parts
Hi there
I tried it several ways, but they have same numbers and dimensions. Is there any trick with this "keep both parts"?
One more thing - they are components already, I am taking wall and window from library.

Re: Loghouse parts
I know this trimming function, but it's very time wasting solution. Small garden house and it needs ~200 cuts.

Loghouse parts
Hello there
When I do loghouse - then walls first and after that doors and windows, which cut holes into the wall. Bad thing is, cutted log is one part, not left and right side with correct length. Is there any solution for that?

Re: "part positioning on machine" preview window
I've tried several times to pass reseller to get better answers, but nothing. Looks like knocking head to the concrete wall. Luckily TS have in 90% cases workaround. In Your case about positioning - make parts with positioning and put them to library and take them from there. Left side, right side, ...

Re: default constrained block thickness
There is no documentation about those settings. I got this solution from my reseller, who is working with TopSolid Wood around 15y and they have 200+ users. One place what You can do is check this file: top_ex.cfg. It's in several languages and You can take some good commands to Your cfg file. Just ...

Re: default constrained block thickness
Hello yes it is. $TOPCONFIG\V6XX\topzwoo.cfg D_SH_BLOCK_CONSTRAINT_THICKNESS 0.016 0.016 is in meters. If it doesn't work, try to add it some other cfg file. By the way, I am using always parametric thickness for elements. Never know, when someone want to replace it for some other material and then ...

Re: "part positioning on machine" preview window
Hi there TSW is based on very old structure and new structure will come out 2021 (hopefully). Maybe there will be lot of new and good things. Most of windows are suitable for 19" screen and working with 27" 2560*1440 screen looks like gynaecologist :) Only 2y ago they changed some windows ...

Re: Opticut help
Hello BOMs are in Your template folder and You can modify them or create new from scratch. For Indexing I prefer to make new one from scratch and You have to know that each column in Indexing will put more data into Indexing and with large data it can be big mess. For simple use I have Detail design...

Filtering - i have this in the end of Indexing Bom (this is separate bom to indexing parts) FILTER { DIR=TOPCONFIG "NAME=Partsonly" ; } And in the options I have filter where edgebandings and hardware is filtered off - name is Partsonly. Designation and subset - do You mean multi-level BOM...
