Good guess but no.... It was one part (of many) which assemble to create a large drum filter for the prescription drug industry. I am told that the liquids being filtered cost over $2000 per liter to produce. The plate with the cylinders measures 44 inches by 32 inches The molded part is over 18 inc...

Thanks. I picked it out myself for a particular job we did including a 500MB TopSolid mold design and a Mastercam X4 electrode which ended up being 1.4GB  when fully toolpathed. The .nc file for that electrode was 512MB and took about 140 hours to run a single electrode. We made 4 of those el...

This is what I am using now. I have had it since January 2009 and absolutely LOVE it. No probs with TS Design or TS Mold. It was purchased from http://www.cyberpowerpc.com Pricing from Cyberpower easily beats Dell every time. P.S. If you're looking for new equipment and you don't have a Space Pilot ...

large mold design crashes TopSolid

Hello, This is hopefully a helpful tip for others... I have a large mold design (472MB) and when I open it TS opens most of the way until just before the file comes into view onscreen but then it kills TS with no option for .rsc file. It almost seems like everything loads correctly but there is some...

Mold & Cam modules

Hello,

Does anybody know the official schedule regarding when we may see Mold & Cam modules for TS7 ? Maybe a beta version just to whet my appetite ?

I am so ready to abandon the current version and jump in with both feet.

I see you posted this in the "wood" area. There are no modules for TS7 wood , cam, mold, etc yet ... They still have a ways to go before version 7 is ready for mainstream usage... But what they have done so far is excellent. I highly recommend downloading the demo and running through the t...

I made it through the first tutorial lesson. I haven't found anything I don't like. In fact, I love it love it love it. Very nice job ! A little confusing in the tutorial is the section about vaults.... It seems that some of the dialog was changed after the tutorial was written ? Instead of "pu...

I often get strange results from the TopSolid .dxf / .dwg translators.

I usually try different translator versions until the appearance is better...

P.S. Welcome to the forum :)

I may be a sucker for eye candy...

But WOW TopSolid 7 looks BEAUTIFUL ! I am trying out the demo version now. It is excellent that Missler decided to throw this out for the general public to try. The interface seems a lot like solidworks. Very modern... I can't wait to see what the Mold & CAM modules look like. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) ...

Yes I can recall the value with the arrow key. Thanks for pointing that out. I was not aware of that function.

I would still prefer if the last value was recalled automatically in the exact way I entered it.

Hey, 200 posts ! Do I get a Missler t-shirt or anything ?

CURVE, EXTEND memory problem

Hello, If I use Curve, Extend on an entity with a value of .125 why does TopSolid "remember" my value as .1 ? It seems like TopSolid only cares about 1 place after the decimal for this input field... I would like to be able to extend multiple entities by .125 without having to type "....
