There is no way today to do this automatically with TopSolid.
I believe/hope Missler is working on that.

Hi,

Maybe you could use "Exceptions".
So create a filter which excludes the part file from teh view.

Hi Robert,

Looks great!
TS'2009 will allow you to download Google Sketchup (SKP) 3D files.
Maybe have look there before creating your own components?

Hi,

Like Daniel said, you can add processes to you component.
To be able to choose wich bolds, define the bolds in you component as sub-component.

Hi, A little remark on what Jehronimo said: 2)toggle on the circle and TS will select the centre point. So if you LCLICK on the circle, you new circle will be tangent, if you keep your mouse on the circle, and toggle (keep LMB pressed, while clicking with RMB) TS will "jump" to the centre....

Hi, That is not possible in TopSolid. The concept is a bit different. TS has an Auto-snap on end points, mid points, intersection. ... If you need a "special" point you can get it with the specific function. It does more just let you snap to points, you can also create specif points (offse...

Hi, Yes there are some "rules" you could respect to manage large assemblies. There is a document describing it somewhere. You should ask your reseller. In general the most important gain is to be found in using simplified versions of parts and sub-assemblies. It's to much of an explanation...

Hi,

Another thing you can do is to set the grafic settings of TopSolid to "basic (full compatibel)". Normally this should do the trick. Ofcourse you loose the power of the graphic card but at least it works (most of the time).

Hi Fratini, Creating special shaping tools in TS should not be a problem. What is it you can't do? Same for Components. This is one of the strong points of TS. You can create what ever compo you want. Again, what is it you can't do? I have some knowledge on that matter, maybe I can help you? Regards

Hi Robert, If you are trying to create a tool for a moulding, you are completely wrong. There is a specific function for that, take a look in the online help. Basically you have to create a tool and use the molding function with that tool. If you are trying to create a profile, you are more or less ...

Hi,

Top'Noob is right, there is no way to put an arc dimension in the model area.
If you want to have the value visible on the screen, you can create a parameter with the length of the curve as its value.

Hi,

This means you are drilling "in the air" there is no material to drill.
So, either you are creating a hole in hole, or your drilling in the wrong direction (away from the face instead of towards).
