Re: Best practices

Hello I write my experience as short as possible. I worked in big wardrobe company where my task was to set up TopSolid Wood + Planner + CAM + Nesting + labeling + data to ERP + some small things more to produce faster and with less mistakes. If You just started with CAM... I started with components...

I went through all possible settings and options what I know and nothing. Why that style is grey - no idea. Ask it from Missler.

Also try TopSolid Wood sofy (sofa) (dots) etc.

Re: diactiveited parts are showing in assembly

I prefer do not use deactivate command to switch off elements inside of components. You can use that in project before creating 2D drawings and BOM. To turn off elements, use repeat function.

Re: diactiveited parts are showing in assembly

Hi It's a bit hard to understand where is the problem. When you deactivate element, then they are visible in same document, but they are not visible in project. In both cases they are not shown in BOM. I don't know what You are doing there, but don't deactivate components - use repeat function to tu...

Re: Animate Assembly

There is not much information about Kinematics. It's "old thing" in TopSolid Wood and officially no information about this. I asked materials for that year ago and got that answer. Here is very small video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwFxl33iGcw&t=12s Maybe this one helps a bit too https://www.y...

Re: How to get total size of panel in nesting?

Hello It's not possible. I had same badass situation and we were veryvery angry to Missler, because this edgebanding solution is 20 years old. You have to 2 options: 1) When You use edgabandings, then untick "use tools" box. It's shown here: https://youtu.be/5y--d1GPAms?t=81 (he is using Edge shape ...

Re: MOUSE Recommendations

Hi there Over the years I am using gaming mouse for CAD. On the market are several CAD-type mice, but I don't like them. I tried wireless mouse too, but that one had lag and after that all mice have a cable. Lag was microseconds, for regular using it was "hidden", but to do accurate CAD-job it was t...

Re: define clash shape

I set up TSW for nesting and beam cnc + wrote library for wardrobe production. It took 1,5 years to run it normally. Redesign postprocessor and components, reposition components for cnc etc. We figured out some strong errors and Missler fixed them in some months. For cnc you have to learn a lot. Des...
