Re: Simplify Hardware to avoid lagging

This is a big question that has many different answers base on source files. I would point you in the right directions at least.
downloading and using other files sounds great in theory but if the file is junk its usually better to fix it or just draw your own simplified version.

Re: Advanced assembly kit

Now that I'm on 6.24 I believe your issue is the bug I found where it only inserts the opposite set and not the main set so define the opposite the same as the main set

Re: Advanced assembly kit

This message usually indicates that the file is not saved into your component library before you try to define the assembly kit based on what your steps you listed I added the step below 1. In a new document, draw three parts in contact, representing the two insertion possibilities. 2. Next assemble...

Re: insert into inplace subset

You could use Layers or part types to also do that grouping and visibility.

Re: Texture import

when you use these textures as a coating or material, they can be rotated on the texture parameters tab. so im not sure the orientation matters at import texture library just check it before you use it.

Re: "slave" like saving

Maybe try starting a new file and use the include assembly but use the partial and only select that part then save that file.

Re: Sorting operations when nesting.

check your process for drilling allows it to be sorted also make sure when making changes to your sorting you have to close and reopen TopSolid for them to take effect.

Re: Exclude from the drilling

You have multiple levels to your assembly before you need the hole in the cabinet 1. part is the Bracket with tooling 2. part is the Leveler no tooling 3. the Bracket and the Leveler assembly (in this file the bracket does not need to have tooling operated for it to operate on the cabinet) delete it...

Re: Exclude from the drilling

Couple things you could do.
1.) put the drilling in with the leveler since that is what needs the drilling
2.) a clash shape will work but it needs to be the difference between the shaft and the hole so it should look like a hollow cylinder. sketch should be two circles extruded as one shape.

Re: Sorting operations when nesting.

Your go to Misc>>operations>>edits sort parameters there you can set all 3 tabs to your preferences and save the file to user or group folder to link to machine template.

Re: Automatic tool selection for different materials when nesting

see image attached this still requires that your parts are defined correctly, and any custom materials are setup in CAM category.

Yeah it is just model it and create tooling and key points then use the save standard function and save it to your own library

Re: CAM file lost Index 3D

It might be a glitch since the panel function is still quite new and TopSolid manages the data like a in place sub-assembly CAM file name configure might not be able to pull the data through. but try looking into change some settings in the attached images. I don't use this function myself but maybe...
