Managing cutting conditions
I know I can modify cutting conditions in two ways: - Per tool: Mount Tools > Cutting conditions - by Abacus: Equipments > Modify Cutting Conditions. What I don't know is how TopSolid decides which to use, and how I can decide for which tools to use the ab5acus, and for which tools to use the cuttin...

Re: save file bug
It was the revision index indeed. Thank you!
Will save new revisions using revision index from now on. Seems like best practice.

save file bug
There is one library file, with which save file doesn't work properly. When I try to "save" TopSolid doesn't save, but opens the "save as" window, and suggests to save it as a previous version.

Any suggestions?

shortcut key options
It appears the only options for "shortcut keys" are [ctrl]+<any character> [ctrl]+[alt]+<any character> doesn't work [ctrl]+[shift]+<any character> doesn't work [ctrl]+[alt]+[shift]+<any character> doesn't work just <any character> doesn't work... So now that I've finally found a workaroun...

link parameters
I know this way: - add parameter in sub-assembly - make it a driver - create same parameter in intended top-assembly - use existing parameter (automatic) on import, or manually add when names differ. But when a sub-assembly is already added, how do I connect sub-assembly parameters to top-assembly p...

Re: deactivation of subsets
Thank you for the feedback/tips. I found out deactivation has it's quirks and it works like this: assembly1 (open document) assembly2 (deactivated in assembly1) assembly3 When assembly2 is deactivated, it shows in the tree, but it (and it's content) is still visible in 3D assembly3 does not look lik...

deactivation of subsets
I'm working on a closet with a variable amount of bodies (1-4) All of the bodies are in different in-place subsets. I seem only to be able to deactivate specific assemblies, and deactivating an assembly does not seem to effect nested assemblies. In order of prefference I would like to know: 1 - Is t...

Re: library verification error: "file outside any library"
Hi Todd,
Thank you for your reply. My example wasn't meant to be specific though, because this appears to be the case for all referenced files.
Good to know though. It seems worth considering storing these tools on a shared drive.

Won't you look at that.
It's almost the half year anniversary of me stating that "giving feedback to Missler feels like talking to a wall"...
How meta.

library verification error: "file outside any library"
When I verify my libraries I'm getting errors like these: L:\70 - Componenten\Achterwanden\Achterwand#V=groef L+R#I=00#R=NR.top WARNING: references a file outside any library : $STD=TopSolid'Wood\wood tool\mill#V=simple mill#I=01#R=NR.top All mentioned components are inside a library though, but Top...

Re: .cat files and supplier codes
Ok, so i got the documentation, which describes how to implement drawers, and automatically get the correct drawer runner and machinings when the drawer length changes. What I want to know though, are the basic principles behind supplier code and .cat files. Which I find hard to deduce from the draw...
