Re: cross-hatching scale

Hello,

Go to attribute->cross-hatching pattern and then press F1. This will open the help file from TSW. I think it should explain it just as well as I could.
We don't really work with this function so I only know the basics of it.

Best of luck!

Re: cross-hatching scale

Hello OMG,

I would recommend making a custom hatching in the hatching editor with a larger spacing. This you can then add to your solids so it shows better on the draft. Other then that I dont think you have many options.

Re: Revisions on Title Blocks

Hello, You can look for "revision index" under TS help. You will find an article that has this info in it: The ".ixl" files contain index of revision table description Syntax You can edit ".ixl" files using a standard text editor such as notepad.exe It is the descriptio...

Re: Revisions on Title Blocks

Hello, If you place the revision index table on your draft you can control that via the revision of your set. In design go to Attribute>Revision index, select assembly and a window opens up. Add or modify your revision there. In draft go to Attribute>Revision index, either use the standard version o...

Re: Chamfer between 2 elements with mitre cut

Hello,

If you make the mitre cut first and then the chamfer if should work fine, more specific:
step 1
step 1
end result
end result
end result.jpg (10.48 KiB) Viewed 1950 times
step 2
step 2
I hope this is what you mean and that this helps.

Re: insert into inplace subset

Hello, Couple things about this topic. You could work with alternative sets and manually add those parts you want there, you could also have them filtered out by part type or using multi criteria filters (filters are made in tools>options) this allows you to make a filter for all parts in layer 1 co...

Re: Unable to import publishing

Hello, When you interchange an item you basically delete the old item and insert a new one. This means anything connected to the old one will lose its references. Including your shelve. Similarly, when you would make a draft of your model and interchange parts of the 3D model, all dimensions to thos...

Re: Insert driver block like a regular component?

Yes and No, the driver block will always need some form of size determination to define the shape and size of the inserted element. That being said, once you select the item to insert you can choose housing mode = DIMENSIONS rather then HOUSING or INSIDE A BLOCK. you will be asked to define the X, Y...

Re: Symple mirror

Your mirror CS is placed on a point relative to the ACS. When making a driver block you should never make anything connecting to the ACS. Anything you connect to the ACS will be reconnected to the ACS of the model you include it in.

Try to make your mirror using the housing frame.

Re: Symple mirror

Hello, It seems that the CS you are using for the mirror ends up somewhere else after inclusion then you want it to, causing the mirror to behave unexpectedly. This could be because you use a broken CS as reference and not the CS at the center of your driving block. Make sure you are selecting the c...

Re: Catalogue editor with excel

Hello Sinvia,

TS recently updated the catalogue mode so it will work standard with a .cat file (to be managed with note pad or via the catalogue editor).

That is most likely the reason youre not finding the excel files anymore or missing the opening of the excel after selecting edit catalogue.

Re: Open 3D measurements in TopSolid

Hello MadCat,

When you use automatic to select the Unit, it will take the measurement type from the source. So either change the unit type in the autocad or set it to mm yourself when including instead of using automatic.
I hope this solves it for you.

Re: BOM template

RaudMees, If i understand correctly you want your BOM export to go to excel always, and that the config words you used before no longer work. To solve this you could do 3 things: Build an export test script where you reference the BOM you want to test and set is to excel like CAD_73 suggested. When ...

Hello,

2 reasons really, i have an incredible retailer for TS. They sell the product but have an incredible knowledgeable helpdesk too. The other reason is that im one of those people who just goes function by function, clicks it and thinks ooooh what does this button do.

Re: neutral mode

Hello, Neutral mode basically means "no other function active" if you are working within a function like extrude for example and you click neutral mode it shuts down extrude for you. Similarly to the esc button on the keyboard. In addition to that being in neutral mode or "no function...
