Re: Dowels by curved line
when creating the propagation on curve select 2 points as transformation mode. this will give you the option to select a front and a back point on your part which then gets used to align the part with the curve. with a round part like a dowel its not a problem but with rectengular shapes you want to...

check your revision index under attribute (see attachment) if that has a lower revision than you saved it of higher for that matter. it will always want to save to that revision.

Re: auto-update disabling
you can also use the disable automatic update box when opening a file. should you want to update a view you can then click "regenerate" via view and select each view manually to update. or check the box on in the properties mentioned above this will turn update on and so all views will upd...

Re: Cyclic reference between elements
A cyclic reference forms when you try to make something depend on itself to exist. So for example, you make sketch A for something. You then proceed to make sketch B and use A to constrain it. Then using B you make an extruded shape. Then you find out A needs a little adjustment and you try to const...

Re: Coordinate system not visible anymore
i have the same problem some times. switching to one of the standard views (like top view) always makes it come back though. assuming of course you didn't turn it off in the options yourself
.

Re: Loghouse parts
what the keep both part function does is that it takes your original part (O) and then makes 2 or more copies of it depending on how you trim. so you then have O1 and O2 and O gets taken out of your assembly (if it was in there to begin with) and put in non visible mode. at the same time O1 gets tri...

Re: Problems with the 2D view in the drawing
top solid will always orientate parts in a multidraft according to its axis. since you place more than 1 part i assume it just pics an axis since your assembly does not have one. try selecting add to sawing up in the characteristics of your assembly and then adding x an y directions in a manner that...

Re: driver coating and finishing
i'm sorry what i said was not quite correct. yes you can make a text driving but it's not possible to make it control the material. i'll explain how to make a text driver though, who knows it might come in handy. place a text via tools-text-type something easy to recognize like finish or something. ...

ive commented on a few of your points keep in mind that this is only my personal opinion and not the golden rules for making models in TS. you will find your own dos and donts as you go along The plan is the following: - all materials of library parts/laminates are generic (corpus_1 etc.) changing m...

Re: Undo planning view
you can make a new view and have all the sections transfer to that if you want, that way the rest of your sections wont break. i agree the function is cool, we use it to make our ceiling plans. But apart from what i said earlier i don't see a way to undo it.
