Personally, I have found that breaking expressions down into chunks to do specific jobs, and then calling them into a single function, works best.
Breaks a lot less and is generally more reliable.

Re: Sawing Toolpaths in XML Export
Hello RM,
Our machines are Holzhers. The software we use is HOPS.
It is interesting that you mention User Machining as that is something we never looked at in depth. It works!!
That single function will solve a lot of our current issues!
Thanks a lot!

Re: Sawing Toolpaths in XML Export
Hello RM,
I've given this a go. It doesn't seem to have affected the sawing at all.
In any case, I reached out to TopSolid on this and I gather that it is a bug.
I'm out of ideas... can't seem to find workarounds that don't involve a huge amount of work.
Any other ideas?

Re: Sawing Toolpaths in XML Export
What exactly do you mean by "indexing"?
What command do you execute to do this? Could you post some screenshots?

Sawing Toolpaths in XML Export
This is somewhat related to a previous post of mine on Groove Toolpaths.
Parts that are sawn are producing a machining on the Right side instead of Left.
Are there any settings/configurations in TopSolid'Wood that can control this?

Default Colors
Hello,
Is there an option to change the default color of edgebanding?
We'd like to change it from the usual Cyan blue to Grey.
PLMK, thanks!

Re: Groove Toolpaths in XML Export
As I've been posting here I've been going back and forth with TopSolid Support - and they just got back to me saying that it is most likely a bug!
Guess we'll have to find another way!

Re: Edgebanding Over-evaluation/Over-dimension
Okee! So I figured this out. In the .top files there is a parameter called "ep". This controls the thickness of the edgeband. Revised that, and everything is coming out as intended now. As you said, though, the sections will be incorrect. I don't think this will really have an impact as we...

Re: Edgebanding Over-evaluation/Over-dimension
So what file controls that? Would it be the Excel import file, or the Catalog, or what?

Re: Edgebanding Over-evaluation/Over-dimension
Thanks for the reply, RaudMees.
OK, that makes sense - but what do I need to adjust to make this happen? What in TopSolid determines how much material is taken off?

Edgebanding Over-evaluation/Over-dimension
Hello All, Got a bit of a puzzle I need help with, regarding the Panel function in TopSolid'Wood. We use two thicknesses of edgeband - 0.5mm and 3mm. When the panel function is applied, it removes 0.5mm or 3mm from the panel edges to compensate for the thickness of the edgeband. However, our edgeban...

Re: Groove Toolpaths in XML Export
Hmmm... I tried that and some are still coming out On Center. Seems to be when they are closed, or when they meet the edge of a part, that they come out On Center. Any groove that is open or does not connect with the edge of a part comes out On Left. Please see the attachments for further explanatio...

Groove Toolpaths in XML Export
Hello Everyone! I'm having a little difficulty with the XML export for Ardis, for the Groove function in TopSolid'Wood. Picking High Arm, Up Arm, or On Center doesn't matter - it almost always comes out on Center. This is an issue because we have three different CNCs and all of them have slightly di...
