Re: PDM Backup
No, this is not my issue. Also, this advice to set a service account to Admin or domain Admin is a terrible idea in today's security environment. TopSolid should consult with a qualified IT security professional.

PDM Backup
I was going to ask a question and report a security issue here with PDM Backup to a network location, but I see nobody at Missler has answered a question here in 3 fucking years. COME ON MISSLER? do you want to fail in the US?

Installation, unable to connect to server
Ran install on pdm server, followed install guide pg 23, stopped 7.11, added license, started PDM server, conversion ran, now won’t start.

Re: DANGER!
Our re-seller (Missler US) has been very good about reporting issues to France. When I discover a bug that I can duplicate, I will send the file. If I cannot share the file (Non Disclosure), I will make a small file with notes if needed and export the package to the re-seller. I usually receive a ti...

Re: DANGER!
AndiKS,
Although I don't think they intentionally want us to be beta testers, with France's continued opposition to supporting any kind of user group, including this forum, this is going to continue to happen.

Billetgrip,
We also make restore points when changing computer configurations. With multiple seats/users and a PDM server it is impossible to revert after a few days.

Re: DANGER!
Do your parts have re-positionings or repetitions? That seems to be where the issues lie. Turning with Virtual jogs and part re-positioning is broken.

Do not install SP7 if you have not already. IT IS A MESS. In addition to random failures to generate ISO code, many parts that worked prior will need to be REPROGRAMMED to function. PART RE-POSITIONINGS ARE A PROBLEM. On top of that, just had a lathe crash for the first time after reversing directio...

Re: Using TopSolid with Machining Cloud
I too would like to see a demo on this. I suspect, based on the quality of some imported models, that this will still require manipulation.

Re: Using TopSolid with Machining Cloud
Michele, We use Kennametal's version of Machining Cloud (Novo). To answer your questions: 1, We use it as a resource for importing models of turning and milling holders. From there, you need to define the tool in TS (frames, functions) and put it in your own library. It is pretty simple once you do ...

Problem with SP7
I think TR51295 is causing the following error I am getting trying to code a few documents. Rebuilding does NOT help. The document pictured coded fine on Thursday BEFORE SP7. Unfortunately, these are NDA parts, I cannot send a package. I am hoping they are already aware of this. Please advise as I c...
