[Solved] Standard Components as Sub-Assemblies

Unread post by Aaron A »

I am trying to find a way in which to make standard components that comprise of a sub-assembly. That in itself is not difficult but I cannot seem to make the material lists show the several components that make up the one I just brought in (because its a sub-assembly).
Is there a way to make the material list show all sub-components in a component sub-assembly?

Thanks for your time,

Hi Aaron,

In the assembly you can manage the assembly nature:
- single unit -> the assembly will be list as one part.
- sub-assembly -> all the parts will be listed.
You can manage this property in the original file (in the characteristics of the assembly) or in the destination file (in the tree of the component).

Another important thing is that your bom level needs to be FLAT BOM to have all the parts listed.

Cumprimentos,
