[Solved] How to create parameters...

Unread post by denmark219 »

I am trying to create parameters in TS, and cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.

I click on parameter -> create

Then i click on the dimension i want to change.....

now it asks for a name, and a designation....

I'm typing in

=la=450

but nothing happens when i hit enter. What am i doing wrong? I'm guessing it's my syntax.

Thanks,
Mark

Hi denmark219,

i think you have a syntax problem.

The standard way is:
Parameter > create, then choose the Unit type you want. Now you have to define the value of that new parameter (f.e.: 12mm, or.32°, or ... ).
Only now you have to name the parameter without space and without equal sign ( f.e.: length_part1). At last you can put the parameter text on the screen.

Now it should works.

Regards.

Also a short cut is when you are in a command and it prompts for a dimension you can do la=450. Then it stores it as a parameter you can use over or in other calcultions.
