I have a complicated Top section view of a stamping die that I want to use twice.
the first time I want to use it in the design configuration, to show the die closed..
the second time I want to copy the section view to a new sheet and change to the configuration that shows the die open.
I can not find a way to copy a view to a new sheet...
Anybody know how to do this ??

Re: Draft Copy View to new page for modification
You might want to explore the Mechanism functionality for Assemblies.
1. There you can create two groups:
+ Bottom group: for everything stationary
+ Top group: for everything that moves when die is open
2. Create a prismatic joint between the two
3. Create two configurations:
+ one showing the closed configuration
+ one showing the open configuration
Example of what you can create via the Mechanism functionality, notice the Mechanism folder in the entity tree
4. Create new draft and include the assembly with mechanism
+ You should be able to select which configuration to display
On the other hand if you have complex GD&T on a draft view that you want to perform only ones, you can try creating a multi-page draft document and make a particular view appear in custom set of pages
I guess you can then use the 'Align view' functionality to make sure the view for the bottom part lines up.
How this helps.
