Draft Problem

I have a couple of issues with drafts. Firstly with updating. If working between a model and a draft, having altered some detail in the model, that detail frequently does not update in the draft document. No amount of saving or regenerating will update the draft. However if I close the draft, and then reopen it, the red update crosses appear on the views and then the detail appears having updated the views. Is this a network issue ? This does not happen all the time, with all alterations.
