[Solved] Updating surface without having to re-propagate

Unread post by SHOM! »

I was just wondering if there was a way to update a surface file, from a surface file in progress. The surface file is linked to the Mold Design File and every time I write over the surface file to update the surfaces, the designer has to re-propagate all the holes in the core and cavity blocks. Is there a way around this?

Hi,

if you link your surface with Assembly tools, there is no problem, but I guess, regarding your explanations, that you linked them with a duplication, am I wrong?

In your case, I think you must define your surfaces their design doc in the main set, and in your final file, use the Assembly | Include sub assembly /part to import hem in your process....
