Re: Jerky swarf machining
I don't think you can correct this by changing your geometry. It does look good on the picture. You need like you ask a "smooth" function in the machine or you might try to play around with some settings. Another option is to create the operation on curves in stead of the surface, but as s...

Re: Shortcut key
I dug into the available LOB files and is seems to be simple. Create a file in de config or group folder called topext.men and give it the following content: Bemet { "Edit in tree" = $TOPHOME/d/tree/l/edit ; } If you startup TopSolid you will get a "Bemet" textmenu with a "E...

Re: Shortcut key
The tree must be open and the main tab must be selected.... maybe by creating a own lob file and call that?

Re: Collision
Can't you define the yaws as environment ? Than ad a change environment operation to activate them. Ready you are.
Ah you don't have the environment option.
Can't you think of parametric yaws in the mach def which you can also trim in the machining doc, modelling stage?
Than it is OK?

Re: Calculation of Face Area
Why do you use GetLoopEdge if you already have both loops? What are you trying to achieve? Do you want to get the 4 seperate edges? Are you sure you give the same shape in both functions. Above you write: GetFaceLoops (element id face) GetLoopEdges (element id shape, loop id ) So it seems you give a...

Re: Calculation of Face Area
A face is a shape. A shape can be a Solid or a surface. And thus it can be a single face surface or a multi face surface. That's why you need to give a Shape I'd. What is wrong than with the Ishape.GetFaceLoops ? You have your edges. Can you check the length to get the smallest of both, that's the o...

Re: Calculation of Face Area
Of course if you shape is a solid there are no boundaries. It is closed [emoji2]
Getfaceloop with the faceId seems to me the most logic way.
Can I see a picture of the shape and it's face to analyse?

Re: Highlight an element
Buy in case of a component the attributes might be locked. Than your option does not work as it is not allowed to set the color.
But thanks for giving it a thought.

Re: Part selection
Not hat I know of. Interesting thought though.
You mean clicking the part in the graphic area of an assembly document. Having the main set open in the tree? Right?

Re: How to UnBend a sheetmetal part & extract Bendline Info?
I saw you post in introduction and now understand a bit better you question. Just a wild guess of what could be possible. Don't have a TopSolid in front of me right now... Get the shape, get the faces. Check face types and search cilinders. It might be possible to get the data of the cilinder? Is th...

What is you real problem? That you can't select a single shape in a multi shape component?
