Re: How to orientate auxiliary view

HI again, Ok, I have a couple of things for you to check. 1) Are you using a draft template that is ISO or ANSI? In an ISO draft template, the projections are set to First Angle In an ANSI template, the projections are set to Third Angle You can check this in the Entities manager (Parameters | Syste...

Re: What are the Mechanical, Machining, NC Machines etc libraries for?

Hello Michelle, Each of these libraries are specific. For example, TopSolid ANSI Mechanical includes standard mechanical components (screws, pins...) for the ANSI standard in inches. It is best to check in these libraries so that you can have access to them. But also know that some of the libraries ...

Re: How to change Project units?

Hi Michelle, You give a great description of how to switch units. The only thing that I would add would be to pay attention to any specific document templates that you may be using. If the document template is set to me in Metric, then it will launch in metric. Same thing if the document template is...

Re: graphics card TopSolid 7

Hi, My preference for Graphics Cards are the AMD FirePro cards. It is what I use everyday and am very happy with. They are higher end cards and will cost a bit more. For the stock update you saw on the video, I am sure you saw the Faceted Stock mode in use. The faceted mode switches from a pure soli...

Hi there,

Yes you can modify the number. Just double click on it in the BOM and modify it. You can set the number as you want.

Hi there,

For the stock update, have you tried using the "faceted" mode? If you are doing very complex machining, this will save you a lot of time. In the video you mentioned, do you know if they did true solid update or faceted update. it could be the faceted.

HI there,

Did you try switching to the Faceted Stock update mode instead? On complex parts, this mode is significantly faster.

Hi there To my knowledge, Olaio is correct. These two variables are the way to do what you want to do. Just add them into your shortcut with the path to the config that you want to use. As for other variables, I am not sure. You seemed to have listed (with olaio) all of the ones I know about! if you...
