Re: [TS7] Opening non-TopSolid files using TopSolid API

Of course. Do not try to use a TopSolid function. As you have a seperate program you can use a shell execute function to start the file using the associated windows program. Just before opening check the file type and see if it is a TopSolid supported file.

Re: ImportWithOptions

There is a getimporteroptions if I am wright. You can read and write these option before the import. Maybe there is a option available to switch to 2D document equivalent to the option in the gui.

Mark.

Re: Deactivated

Well. While deactivation is somthing different than visibility. Deactivating is not putting it on the BOM and not use its processes. But it is still there. If you however insert an assy with a deactivated element in a new document than it is not visible. But that's not because it is hidden. That's b...

Re: Exporting BOM

Check in missler\bin\local\englischUs for a hlp file and a document. Furthermore check books about other stack programming languages like Fortran. Than you might understand it.
I think I could manage to do the request. If I find the time to start.....

Re: Exceptions

Well I suppose you want to make a draft and exclude some elements. Maybe you can create an alternative set in which these elements are not inserted. Than use this set in stead of the main set to create the draft.

Re: Date format / date notation

But use without template and try different standards like Jis or Afnor. I have seen this before and I am not 100% sure but I thought it was the standard which controles the date notation.

Re: Date format / date notation

Where do you see this notation?. If on draft try a different standard.

Re: cycle time is wrong

First check you tool change time. Fixed time and maybe time per pocket rotation if the is no dynamic pocket position or changer arm construction. Second adjust the G0 feedrate in TopSolid and correct it. In small movements the machine will never reach e.g. the 40m/min wich is in the specs. So if you...

Re: create a shortcut key without Control or Alt?

That's not possible I think. The problem is that in case you have a function active and you press your key TopSolid cannot make the difference between the shortcut or the first letter of a element name for example.

Re: Jerky swarf machining

If you say that sweeping is fine. Can you find a smooth function the g-code of these operations?

I don't, know if bold is better. I guess it is not as we control the machine by g-code which is what bsolid in the background probably creates when programming something in bsolid.

Re: Jerky swarf machining

I don't think you can correct this by changing your geometry. It does look good on the picture. You need like you ask a "smooth" function in the machine or you might try to play around with some settings. Another option is to create the operation on curves in stead of the surface, but as said above,...

Re: Shortcut key

I dug into the available LOB files and is seems to be simple. Create a file in de config or group folder called topext.men and give it the following content: Bemet { "Edit in tree" = $TOPHOME/d/tree/l/edit ; } If you startup TopSolid you will get a "Bemet" textmenu with a "Edit in Tree" command. Now...
