If you have the render option, the models smooth out. This is a .dwg straight from the GE website.
This is the same .dwg rendered in TS

Re: Importing Models into TopSolid
Hey Ken,
STEP files are the best.
I use Grabcad a lot. Usually renders pretty good too.

Re: Saving draft as a template?
It must be saved in your template folder. I'm not sure how yours is set up. My template folder is on our network. If you are local, do a search for one of the standard draft templates, then save yours there.

Re: Automatic CAM
I can't help with your drilling problem on both sides. I can recommend a solid carbide drill with a thru point. Routing an open pocket through edging can be done with user machining, and a pocket. You can go one step further, and get a high shear router bit. We have been using these for a while now,...

Re: No valid constraint set by dimensions?
Hey Robert,
Not sure what is wrong. I deleted your contour, and put it back on from the back of the part. Put your parameters back on, and added a pocket. Seems to be working fine. I'm using 6.17.220.21

WoodWop Export
I have a request for a keyword to turn on and off the Z start on a WoodWop pocket macro. It has caused me a couple of problems in the past. If the thickness of the workpiece is modified, the z start needs to be changed also. Our operators are not used to seeing this. It is kind of hidden in WW5, its...

Re: Export Finished Size (With Edge Banding)
Hey Todd, I have tried what you are suggesting, and my edging was set up by Olivier. Turning off the tool will give the result I am looking for. Problem is I can't find a way to modify it once the edging is applied. I would want to show the edging normally, but then turn off the tool to export if I ...

Re: Export Finished Size (With Edge Banding)
I model a single part, 20" x 10" x .75", the part has some drill holes on it . I put 1 long 3mm edge on the part using the edge function. It is cut oversize on a panel saw. It is going to be sized on a double end/edgebander. Now I need to drill the part on a CNC finished size. The onl...

Export Finished Size (With Edge Banding)

Nesting Program Numbers
I am wondering if TS wood can add the automatic counter that is available in the sheet metal version? Why not create the nesting program names in a sequential fashion. I am fighting with the ISO name not matching the nesting name on the multi draft nesting document. Especially if you own Homag CNC r...

Nesting
How many of you are using Top Solid to nest, and are willing to describe your process? We have been nesting for years with another non 3D software. We have 4 nesting machines that run 24/7. Recently purchased TS, and haven't met many TS users. Just curious to how other people process.
Thanks
