Re: Operation analysis

As a work around, maybe you could just set up a custom process in CAM (see video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yl-WkK4Bvs&index=8&list=PLIBsABymhlXdu3M4HYtZypEVpZPDhl-nP ). Then in CAD, when you create the pocket, you can assign the process to that operation so that it will be automatically reco...

Re: Freelance TS Work?

Hi Robert, We currently handle all our drawings in-house but I have always been curious about the out-sourcing process and I receive email solicitations from companies from time to time that provide drawings services. When you get the 2nd revision (final) drawings back do they provide you with culti...

Re: door direction symbol in draft

Todd, So, the sub-assembly is inserted in another product before you made the draft? Good to know. I haven't tried that but when I was first trying to work with the feature I made an assembly, added the draft schematic, and made a draft but the schematic would never show. Put in an email to tech sup...

Also, It will not work unless the item you have added the details/symbols to has been saved as a library component.

Re: Best way to Cut Out Over-sized Parts in Nest

Okay, thanks Todd!

So, I am going to make a new part type, PRODUCTION ONLY, to assign the duplicate and allow me to to filter it out when drafting and on the display part, un-check Add to Cutting up.

Best way to Cut Out Over-sized Parts in Nest

I have some parts that are 5-1/2" wide but need to be out 1/4" wider (5-3/4") when they are nested so when they are added to the cabinet maker can flush trim off the extra material for a perfect fit. I tried to add the extra material using the over dimension field in the part characteristics but the...

Re: Bring 2d Scanned shapes into TS?

Hi ScottatTS, I am new to TS but I tried this the other day and was able to trace over a drawing sent by a customer using "Tools>Background bitmap" I haven't played around with it a lot but I think I pretty much chose the default options. Going through them, it gives you the option to scale the imag...

Re: Line weight Draft Save As PDF

Yes, It is controlled by the printer configuration file stored in Missler>V617>bin>printer folder. You can see which one you have selected when you select the drawing boarder using the modify element command (Wrench) and select the printer tab. printer config.jpg For some reason, I had to modify the...

Re: Linking a Parameter with an Assembly Characteristic

Hi Todd,

Thanks for the response. I added "[INDEX]" for the name as you show but I am not quite sure how to get the catalog header setup correctly. What do I need to do in the catalog so that it links?

Linking a Parameter with an Assembly Characteristic

Is is possible to use parameters to control the characteristics of a component? For example: I have a library item and I would like to control the manual index with a driver so that when I insert the item, along with the prompts for width, height, ect, I am also prompted for the index number. This w...
