Usualy all standard compo & as DME compo have a special assignement to don't be cut when I made a general section when I pass thrue the center of the compo. As you could see all my screw are cutted and it should not. I know I could assign a parameter to don't cut it but I don't want to do it manualy when Missler should have assign it on the library.

Is it a new bug ? bcs before they didn't cut that in automatic when I passed straight true.
I maintain my opinion that it should be improved but it seems like you and Jehronimo have proposed the best solution currently available...
I have not had a chance to test this method yet but when I do I hope to see perfectly sharp root and crest...

The program works very well in its 64-bit version.

For 32-bit, in great work, always crash.

We need to be able to post a 64-bit program, a year ago since we saw the problem in 32 bits you can not do big jobs CAM, and 64 bits can not be postprocessing internal.

You can install both programs TopSolid TopSolid 32 and 64 at the same time?

Jiffy tite extension plug JPB-2528 and familly
The drilling process is there, but not the tapping
As you could see on the bottom left side who are mirrored from bottom right side, two are not tapped because the third one I tapped manually

Also the lenght of the hexagon are not comming good as the cataloge. when you change also the lenght parameter of the hexagone is not attached from the end of the compo, that is mean you could obtain a result with the hexagon out (not attached) to the compo.
Me again,

I have tried what Jehronimo said. It doesn't work on Vista 64bit, but it works great on Vista Businnes 32 bit. So far everything works just fine. Thank you Jehronimo. Oh and also with Vista you need Vista sp1.

Initial feelings (purely subjective) are that it works even better with Design and Mold with bigger assemblies. Haven't tried CAM though....

Thank you for help.
Hi micos.

Associations are a way to simplify automatic ... associations between geometric features from TopSolid and processes. So it apply only on feature machinings, like pockets and holes.
3d does not enter in this path. There is no automatic machining for that. So associations cant help is 3D, and not on turning too...

Is there any chance we could get a DME_INCH O-ring library ? Or even a generic "dash number" O-ring library for Inch sizes would be helpful...

No one?!
I gave it some thought an thought of 2 solutions:

1.) I tried to make 2 side inserts on same contour (bottom block and top block) and then unite them. But there is a problem-I can't get rid of basic shape-and that causes trouble through whole design(runners, cooling, ejectors etc...). I tried with extracting the "base" shape, but for some reason it doesn't work. The block keeps reappearing. Any suggestions?

2.) I thought about another approach to the problem. I divided core/cavity blocks and then again unite Top and bottom into one block, and then trim by shape to bring it into the desired shape. But again I found myself in trouble because I couldn't hide base shape.

On both occasions I used : HIDE TOOL=YES and operation UNITE. Should I use LOCAL OPERATION or SHELL UNION OPERATION? The described problem doesn't appear in normal design mode, just when working with TS Mold. Any ideas why my approach to the problem isn't correct?

Thank you

Regards
yes i think it would be interesting if perhaps you could create a dimension in design and assign it as an auxiliary element and have it project in draft, or perhaps define a dimension for a particular type of projection view.

                                      Good news
It was about time 6.9 V224 now all tapping works for Pipe Plug & Jiffy Plug

May be a bad news for the baffle
If you have to use a baffle in a deep hole the system will put the good size baffle but the shortest one (DME #BB-40-6) for 6" long but the reel lenght could be 10". That is mean be carefule with your BOM and over that it never take in considaration the deviation chanel, we have to modify the value of orientation after, I know what i'm talking about
Hello everyone!

I am looking into starting an agency/small company which would do only electrode design and milling machine programming for these electrodes.

3d data and 2d drawings (with job setup instructions) would then be sent over to the customer via internet/regular mail. The NC code to machine the electrodes would also be included, of course. We could also provide 3d/2d mould design service in one package...

If the pricing for such jobs would be VERY COMPETITIVE, what do you guys think if such company would survive?

Oh, one other thing: where could I find some customers?

Of course, we would give each customer a free trial period/first job free, so that they can make sure the company is serious and that it satisfies customers needs...
